Pop Up Garden Clean Up
Shiloh School Native Plant Garden
Corner of Shiloh School Rd. and Balls Neck Rd., Kilmarnock, VA
9:30am-11:30am
This Friday April 25
This is NNVNPS’s regularly scheduled work day for the OCH Garden in Heathsville, but our last clean up was just two weeks ago so it is in great shape. Our newest maintenance project is the Shiloh School Native plant garden. Three of us worked there on Tuesday and made great progress on about 1/4th of the garden. Our goal for Friday is to continue the Spring cleanup which involves removing the dead stalks and dead grasses not heavy weed pulling. This is a great project for members who live close by and for anyone who wants to become acquainted with this beautiful garden originally designed by member, Paula Boundy. Please come even if it is only for an hour and bring your own clippers, small hand rakes and water bottles. I promise it will be a lot of fun and Bonita and I plan to go out for lunch after our morning in the garden.
P.S. This project qualifies for Master Naturalist Hours.
